For more than a century, the Barbàras have called Sicily’s fertile Trapani Valley their home. On this ancestral landscape, they have devoted their lives to cultivating the fruitful crops of olives on the Azienda Agricola Barbàra.

For many years, the family sold their 100% extra virgin olive oil locally. In 2002, Signor and Signora Barbàra, with their sons Francesco and Salvatore, began modernizing the family business. At the same time, they maintained their steadfast commitment to quality that has defined their extra virgin olive oil.

As stewards of the land, the Barbàras understand that the essence of their award-winning extra virgin olive oil comes from their trees. Their care is reflected in their reverence for the land, that insures its continued health for future generations. The family practices sustainable agriculture, and they are currently undergoing organic certification by the European Union.
